On Oct. 29, 2016, students from the eNABLE Lowell group fitted 8-year-old Liam Haggerty with custom-made artificial hands at the South Campus basketball court. Liam was born with a physical deformity, leaving his left hand with a small thumb and undeveloped fingers. After a few quick adjustments, he started playing hoops right away, dribbling and shooting with gusto. He even scored a couple of baskets.
